Historical Context and Positioning Within the Range

First produced in 1982, the Pearl Export has become one of the most iconic acoustic drum sets for learning, rehearsing, and playing in bands. Its reputation is built on a simple principle: offering a reliable, coherent, and sufficiently performant "all-in-one" drum set to support the drummer's progression.

Within the Pearl range, this "Jet Black" Export retains this DNA by focusing on a complete pack and a modern configuration, designed to deliver a true acoustic drum feel from the first minutes. It targets musicians who want a solid foundation capable of evolving (heads, tuning, cymbals) without starting from scratch, while staying within a reasonable budget.

Who This Drum Set Is For

This Pearl Export primarily targets beginner and intermediate drummers looking for a complete acoustic drum set that is simple to set up and robust enough to handle regular rehearsals. The Fusion configuration facilitates ease of use: toms quick to position, a comfortable 20-inch bass drum, and ergonomics suitable for both young drummers and adults.

In terms of styles, it is particularly comfortable in pop, rock, funk, variety, and contemporary music. With tighter tuning, you gain precision and articulation; looser tuning yields a roundness ideal for modern vibes. Experienced drummers can also adopt it as a secondary kit for rehearsals, small gigs, or preproduction sessions, thanks to its practical format and included equipment.
