Pro Natura Mandola Pro Natura Silver

A Portuguese-inspired mandola, made in Europe

With its flat back and Portuguese shape, the Pro Natura Silver follows a traditional mandola design focused on projection and clarity. Its European manufacture, combined with carefully selected woods and Van Gent tuners, makes it an instrument built to last and maintain stable tuning throughout playing sessions.

For which musician and styles?

This mandola is especially suited for intermediate to advanced musicians seeking an expressive and responsive instrument, equally suitable for rhythmic accompaniment and melodic lines. Its "folk-trad" identity makes it comfortable in Portuguese-inspired repertoires, traditional music, acoustic ensembles, and broadly any setting where a precise, woody, and well-defined tone is desired.

Sound

The solid spruce top provides attack, clarity, and dynamics, with a strong volume reserve when playing hard with a pick. The walnut back and sides add a warm color, present midrange, and clean bass, helping the instrument remain clear in an acoustic mix. The flat back promotes a direct response and strong projection, while the zero fret helps to even out the tone between open strings and fretted notes. The satin finish allows the instrument to breathe and enhances the feeling of speed under the fingers.
