Historical Context and Positioning Within the Range
The ProMark Rebound series is designed for drummers seeking a stick with a lively and consistent feel, featuring a balance that favors rebound and fluidity. The ActiveGrip variant fits this "performance" logic: maintaining a feel close to a classic lacquer finish while adding a progressive grip solution, particularly useful during long performances, both in the studio and on stage.
Who This Drumstick Is For
These ProMark Rebound 5B sticks are suitable for beginner to intermediate drummers who want a versatile size capable of handling powerful playing without losing precision. Their balance and evolving grip make them very comfortable in rock, pop, funk, metal, or fusion, especially when consistency on the snare, toms, and cymbals is needed-even when sweat sets in.

Questions frequently asked
Does the ActiveGrip coating become more grippy with sweat?
The ActiveGrip coating reacts to body heat and increases its grip when hands sweat. Its thin layer is designed to maintain a feel close to a lacquer finish, without adding weight.
What are the dimensions of the ProMark Rebound 5B ActiveGrip drumsticks?
Each drumstick measures 40.64 cm (16 inches) with a diameter of 1.5 cm. The 5B size provides a grip suitable for powerful playing.
What is the purpose of the wooden acorn tip?
The wooden acorn-shaped tip increases the contact surface with the skin. This geometry promotes precise articulation on the snare drum and cymbals.
Are these 5B sticks suitable for rock and metal?
Hickory offers a crisp attack and absorbs shocks during frequent accents or rimshots. This model is suitable for rock, pop, funk, metal, and fusion contexts. Its 1.5 cm diameter and 5B size suit powerful playing.
What does the Rebound balance mean on these sticks?
The Rebound balance places more mass towards the back to favor a dynamic return on the playing surface.
