A PRS Heritage Revisited in 2024
Born in 1988, the CE brings PRS DNA into a bolt-on neck architecture. In 2024, the arrival of the CE 24 model in the SE series democratizes this classic without compromising the brand's codes: "Shallow Violin" flamed maple top, elegant Black Cherry finish, iconic birds, and meticulous craftsmanship. The mahogany/maple/rosewood combination is energized by the snap of the maple bolt-on neck, delivering a lively and precise playing feel.Who Is This Guitar For and Which Styles?
Designed for intermediate to advanced guitarists seeking versatility and modern comfort, the PRS SE CE 24 excels in rock, pop, funk, fusion, and classic/hard rock. The coil split opens up "single-coil" textures ideal for funky or indie rhythm playing, while the humbuckers maintain a firm attack and articulate leads. The Wide Thin profile and 24 frets facilitate fast playing, precise bends, and technical runs across the entire neck.Sound Characteristics
The 85/15 "S" pickups deliver extended highs, clear lows, and balanced mids with excellent definition under gain. The push/pull coil split isolates one coil for more airy and snappy sounds, perfect for layering clean tones. The mahogany body + maple top blend warmth and brightness, while the maple bolt-on neck enhances attack and note "focus." The molded PRS vibrato supports note sustain and tuning stability during controlled vibratos and dives.Recommended Compatible Accessories
