The 2024 S2: A Major Evolution in the PRS Lineup
After ten years of existence, the PRS S2 series receives a decisive update in 2024: the integration of pickups and electronic components made in the USA. The S2 Custom 24-08 retains the iconic Custom 24 format while adding a more "studio" approach thanks to a switching system designed to multiply textures without complicating the instrument.

The PRS S2 Custom 24-08 is aimed at intermediate to advanced guitarists who want an electric guitar capable of covering an entire set with just one instrument. The humbuckers provide body for rock, modern metal, and fusion, while the splits deliver brighter and more precise tones for pop, funk, indie, and clean parts rich in nuance.
The Sound
The combination of a mahogany body and carved maple top provides a balanced sonic foundation: mahogany brings a dense midrange and natural sustain, while maple adds attack and clarity in the highs. The TCI pickups are designed for a smooth and musical response: in humbucker mode, you get a full, defined, and expressive sound, ideal for overdrive. In split mode via the mini-switches, each pickup gains a more "single coil" signature: more bite, more air, perfect for tight rhythms and clear arpeggios. The PRS vibrato completes the setup with a smooth and precise feel for subtle inflections and effects.
