An iconic PRS model, the Custom 24 has established itself as a benchmark thanks to its high-end finish and versatility. This Piezo version takes the concept further by integrating an LR Baggs/PRS system, designed to add a credible "acoustic" texture without sacrificing the punch, definition, and sustain of a solidbody. In 2025, it remains a formidable solution to cover multiple styles with simple and immediate control.

The PRS Custom 24 Piezo is aimed at demanding intermediate players as well as professionals who want a unique instrument to cover a wide range of genres. It excels in pop, rock, prog, fusion, funk, and melodic metal: tight rhythms, crystalline cleans, singing leads, and "acoustic" arpeggios to enrich an arrangement without changing guitars.
The Sound
The PRS DMO humbuckers offer an open and articulate tone, with clear attacks and a wide frequency spectrum. The 5-position selector, combined with progressive volume and tone controls, allows switching from very clear, readable sounds to silky saturations, with generous sustain supported by the mahogany body and carved maple top combination.
The LR Baggs/PRS piezo provides a more "woody" and precise response, particularly effective on arpeggios, pick attacks, and accompaniment. The 3-position selector and "Blend" control facilitate mixing between the piezo source and magnetic pickups, while the PRS Gen III vibrato maintains definition and tuning accuracy, even with expressive playing.
Recommended Compatible Accessories
To fully exploit the dual circuit, plan on two 6.35 mm jack cables (one for the magnetic signal, one for the piezo). A 10-46 gauge string set perfectly balances tension, tuning stability, and vibrato response, and a comfortable strap is a real plus for long sessions.
