Derived from the DNA of the Custom 24 that has shaped PRS's identity since the 1980s, this Piezo version (2025) retains the iconic aesthetics and fast ergonomics of the model while adding a versatile dimension tailored for today's needs: seamlessly switching from a saturated riff/lead combo to bright arpeggios without changing guitars. Made in the USA within the Core line, it also stands out with its "Dark Cherry Sunburst" finish and particularly meticulous craftsmanship.

Designed for the demanding intermediate player as well as professionals (studio, touring, sessions), this PRS excels in rock, pop, funk, fusion, prog, melodic metal, and ambient textures. The piezo opens an ideal playground for clean intros, "acoustic" doubling, shimmering pads, and layered tracks in recording, while maintaining the response and comfort of a solidbody.

The Sound

The PRS DMO humbuckers offer an open and defined character: firm lows, singing mids, and silky highs. The 5-position selector expands the palette, from powerful humbucking tones to more snappy and articulate intermediate positions. The mahogany/maple duo provides warmth, projection, and natural sustain, while the Gen III vibrato preserves harmonics and promotes accurate tuning return.

The LR Baggs/PRS Piezo system adds precise and dynamic response for "acoustic" timbres, controlled by a 3-position selector and a Blend control. Thanks to the two 1/4" outputs, you can separate piezo and magnetic pickups to two dedicated chains (FOH, amp, DI, effects), or blend them into a single line for a ready-to-use live sound.

Recommended Compatible Accessories

A set of 6-string electric strings in gauge 10-46, a strap with secure locks, a reliable 1/4" instrument cable, and a stable guitar stand are suitable choices to complete the setup. The case is included; for very frequent transport, a flight case can be considered.
