The Custom 24: PRS DNA adapted in the SE series for lefties
An iconic model at PRS, the Custom 24 established a strong identity: elegant lines, highly refined ergonomics, and an all-terrain feel. This PRS SE Custom 24 LH retains the essential design markers (including the "Bird" inlays) in a more accessible version, without compromising on serious craftsmanship and durable manufacturing. The limited edition Slate Blue finish enhances its character, providing a true quality alternative for left-handed guitarists, both in the studio and on stage.
Who is it for, and in which styles?
This electric guitar is especially suited for intermediate to advanced guitarists seeking a responsive, comfortable instrument capable of covering a wide range without switching guitars. Rock, pop, funk, blues, fusion, hard rock, and melodic metal: the coil split helps transition from warm, powerful tones to more articulate playing for arpeggios, chicken picking, and precise rhythm parts. The 24 frets and double cutaway also support modern techniques (legato, tapping, accurate bends).
Sound
The 85/15 S humbuckers provide a solid foundation: firm lows, present mids, and well-defined highs to maintain clarity even with distortion. In humbucker mode, the guitar delivers thick rhythms and smooth leads with generous sustain; in split mode (via the push/pull tone), the sound gains bite and clarity, closer to a single coil for sharp attacks and funky lines. The combination of a sculpted flamed maple top and mahogany body balances precision and warmth, while the 25" / 635 mm scale length supports intonation, dynamics, and comfort. The molded PRS vibrato completes the setup with expressive nuances while maintaining good tuning stability.
Recommended compatible accessories
To stay true to the original spirit, a set of 9-42 strings is perfect (or 10-46 if you want more tension under the fingers and a firmer attack). For stage use, a strap with standard locks and a reliable 6.35 mm jack cable are essentials. A universal capo for 6-string electric guitars will also work well. The included gig bag is ideal for everyday transport.
