The Fiore HH: The Fiore Spirit, the Density of Dual Humbuckers
Born from the collaboration between PRS and Mark Lettieri, the Fiore stood out with a very "workhorse instrument" approach: comfortable, precise, and designed for demanding guitarists. The PRS Fiore HH builds on this foundation (balance, ergonomics, and playability) by moving to a dual humbucker configuration, gaining thickness, sustain, and impact without losing the clarity that defines the series.
For Which Styles and Audience?
This electric guitar is primarily aimed at intermediate to expert guitarists who want a single platform capable of covering many genres. It excels in modern funk, pop, fusion, rock, and gritty blues: tight and dynamic rhythms, rich chords that remain clear, and expressive solos with a generous gain reserve, all while maintaining silky and controlled highs.
The Sound
The two Fiore-H pickups are controlled by a master volume, a 3-position selector switch, and two push/pull tone controls, one per pickup, to toggle each humbucker between series/parallel. In series, you get a dense sound with present mids and strong authority for riffs and leads. In parallel, the tone opens up: more air, more attack, and a definition reminiscent of the "single coil" spirit, ideal for chicken picking, arpeggios, and crisp cleans. The result is a very responsive guitar that retains precision even at high volume.
The craftsmanship reinforces this character: the swamp ash adds "snap" and immediate projection, while the bolt-on maple neck (Fiore profile) promotes quick response and a feeling of control. The rosewood fingerboard with 22 frets and a 10" / 254 mm radius balances chord comfort and ease in bends. Finally, the 2-point steel vibrato and nickel hardware complete the package with smooth playability and reliable tuning stability.
Recommended Compatible Accessories
To stay as close as possible to the original specifications, a set of electric strings with a 10-46 gauge is recommended (same gauge as factory-installed) to maintain tension balance, feel, and vibrato response.

Questions frequently asked
What sounds do the humbuckers of the PRS Fiore HH Pearl White produce?
The two Fiore-H pickups each feature a push/pull tone control to select series or parallel wiring. The series mode provides more thickness and midrange for riffs and solos. The parallel mode enhances attack and definition for arpeggios or funk rhythms.
Is the Fiore HH suitable for funk and rock?
This HH configuration is designed for modern funk, pop, fusion, rock, and punchy blues. The 3-way selector and series/parallel modes allow adapting the response of the two humbuckers to these genres.
What wood is used for the body and neck?
The body is made of swamp ash, paired with a maple bolt-on neck in Fiore profile. The fingerboard is rosewood with 22 frets.
What string gauge should be used on this guitar?
A set of 10-46 electric strings is recommended, as this gauge corresponds to the factory setup and maintains tension balance with the 2-point steel tremolo.
Is the neck suitable for bending notes?
Its 10-inch (254 mm) radius offers comfort for chords and ease for bends. The double cutaway also facilitates access to all 22 frets.
