PRS SE Ce24 Standard Satin Stoptail Metallic Gold

The CE Philosophy, from the PRS Legend to the SE Series

At PRS, the CE line introduces the bolt-on neck to combine the precision and "snap" of a bolt-on construction with the aesthetic and craftsmanship of the house. This SE CE 24 Standard Satin Stoptail version brings this spirit into the SE series: an accessible model that retains the iconic PRS look, the "Shallow Violin" carved top, and refined electronics, here paired with a fixed bridge for total reliability on stage and in the studio.

Who Is This PRS For?

Thanks to its playability (profile Wide Thin, 24 frets, 25" / 635 mm scale length) and sonic versatility, it suits both the ambitious beginner, the intermediate guitarist, and the professional seeking a "plug-and-play" instrument. Rock, pop, indie, funk, blues, light hard rock: coil splitting opens bright textures while the humbuckers deliver powerful rhythms and singing solos.

Sound Characteristics

The 85/15 "S" pickups offer a balanced spectrum: firm lows, present mids, and precise highs. In humbucker mode, they provide a dense, modern tone ideal for defined distortion and sustain. The push/pull tone pot splits the coils for clearer, snappier, and more articulate sounds-perfect for funk, arpeggios, and compressed cleans. The mahogany body adds warmth and thickness, while the bolt-on maple neck enhances attack responsiveness. The PRS Stoptail bridge, with its brass inserts, improves tuning stability and vibration transfer, delivering clear sustain and stable intonation. The 3-position selector and simple controls (volume + tone) encourage focus on playing.

Recommended Compatible Accessories

To maintain playability and tuning accuracy, choose nickel electric strings in gauges 9-42 or 10-46 (ideal for 25" / 635 mm scale). Complement with a clip-on tuner, a quality 6.35 mm jack cable, and some plectrums of varied thicknesses. The instrument comes with a gig bag, convenient for daily transport.
