Silver Sky: a tribute to the 60s in the PRS language, SE version
Born from the collaboration between PRS and John Mayer, the Silver Sky draws inspiration from the great solidbodies of the 1960s while adding PRS's distinctive finish and manufacturing consistency. This SE version retains the core recipe with a responsive poplar body, a bolt-on maple neck, and a rosewood fingerboard. The "Trad Blue" finish highlights its curves and instantly recognizable look, enhanced by the reversed PRS Silver Sky headstock and "Small Birds" inlays.

The sound
The trio of PRS 635JM "S" single-coil pickups delivers a clear and detailed tone with a sharp attack, musical mids, and bright highs without harshness. Positions 2 and 4 provide the famous scooped sound, ideal for funky chicken picking and articulate cleans, while the bridge pickup adds the bite needed for more aggressive rhythms. The 25.5" / 648 mm scale length and bolt-on construction favor dynamics, definition, and right-hand response. For controls, the volume and two tone knobs allow fine adjustment of brightness and rounding of the top end without losing the "Silver Sky" personality.
Recommended compatible accessories
