The PRS Tekton " Floyd " is primarily aimed at intermediate to advanced guitarists looking for an electric guitar capable of keeping up with precise, energetic playing. Its maple neck with a Modern " D " profile, slimmer and naturally comfortable, makes fast movement across the entire length of the key easy. The 24 frets provide access to two full octaves per string, a valuable advantage for modern solos and technical compositions.

It feels particularly at home in hard-hitting rock, hard rock, modern metal, prog, fusion and shred. Its Floyd Rose allows you to work on expressive vibrato, extreme pitch dives and aggressive playing effects with confidence. The flat 16-inch / 406 mm radius encourages wide bends and low action, while the blue Luminlay side dots remain visible in low-light environments.

Clarity under gain and versatility from the PRS Stylus pickups

The alder solidbody construction provides a highly useful balance for amplified styles: the lows remain tight, the mids retain their presence and the highs keep their attack. Its subtly arched Shallow Violin carve contributes to its aesthetic while enhancing comfort against the body. Combined with the maple neck and ebony key, it promotes a fast, precise and articulate response, ideal for bringing out every note in a dense mix.

The two PRS Stylus pickups were developed to retain definition as the gain level increases. The push/pull tone control provides access to coil split. This function produces more open and incisive textures, useful for clean tones, lively crunch and detailed rhythm parts. The Tekton " Floyd " is therefore not limited to high-gain sounds: it offers a practical tonal palette for alternating between powerful riffs, defined arpeggios and singing solo lines.

Recommended compatible accessories

To preserve the Floyd Rose's original performance and maintain a consistent setup, we recommend using a set of 10-46 gauge electric guitar strings, identical to the factory setup.
