Born from the collaboration between PRS and Mark Tremonti (Alter Bridge, Creed), the Tremonti was designed to meet the demands of powerful and highly articulated rhythmic playing. After initially playing a PRS McCarty, Tremonti directed the specifications toward more aggressive pickups and a neck suited for playing influenced by thrash, shred, and blues. This Tremonti CC version, in Fire Red Burst, retains the high-end PRS DNA while embracing an aesthetic and performance clearly geared toward modern rock genres.

This electric guitar is ideally suited for intermediate to advanced guitarists seeking a "recording-ready" instrument: precise in rhythm, stable in standard tunings, and inspiring for leads. It excels in hard rock, alternative rock, and modern metal, but remains relevant whenever a dense sound, prominent mids, and excellent clarity under saturation are desired.

Sound

The combination of mahogany (body and set neck) and flamed maple (carved top) provides a tonal foundation that is both thick and lively: solid lows, muscular mids, and defined highs. The Tremonti pickups are designed to drive the amp with authority, maintaining precision at high gain levels and delivering a very direct attack for palm-mutes. The simple and effective electronics (3-way selector, dual volume and tone controls) facilitate the transition from punchy cleans to modern distortion while preserving dynamic control. Finally, the PRS Gen III vibrato with Trem-Up offers a responsive feel for vibrato effects without sacrificing tuning stability and note sustain.
