Studio Wood Library: a PRS "Swiss Army knife" in a selected version

Within the PRS universe, the Studio holds a special place: it retains the elegance and precision of a high-end solidbody while expanding the tonal palette thanks to the Narrowfield pickups. In the Wood Library version, each instrument is designed around a choice of woods and a particularly demanding level of finish. The "Charcoal Purple Burst" hue highlights the figured maple and emphasizes the typical PRS curves, for a modern, deep, and very "boutique" look.

Tone

The H + NF + NF configuration is a real asset for covering many styles. The Narrowfield pickups deliver detailed cleans and very clear dynamics with low noise floor, perfect for arpeggios, funky rhythms, and complex chords that need to remain clear. The bridge humbucker provides body, grit, and singing sustain for riffs and solos. With the 5-position selector and push/pull tone control (humbucker split), you can quickly switch from a snappy sound to a crunchy tone, then to a full saturation. The mahogany (warm mids) + maple (attack and projection) duo, combined with the set neck, promotes a balanced response and beautiful note length.

Recommended compatible accessories

For the 25" / 635 mm scale length, a set of nickel 10-46 strings offers an excellent compromise between comfort, attack, and tuning stability (a 9-42 set is suitable if you prioritize flexibility for bends). For regular use, a comfortable strap, a quality 6.35 mm jack cable, and a stable stand will help preserve the instrument daily.
