A stage tool designed for continuity, between rehearsal and concert
The Backtrack is aimed at ensembles working with backing tracks who need to maintain a constant stereo audio flow, whether in rehearsal, soundcheck, or live performance. Its approach is deliberately pragmatic: a compact unit that centralizes source selection, headphone monitoring, and distribution to the PA system, to avoid hasty unplugging and configuration changes at the wrong moment.
In a "ready-to-play" audio chain logic, it naturally fits between your players (or interfaces) and the mixing console, providing accessible controls and clear routing, especially useful whenever multiple stereo sources must coexist.
For whom and for what uses?
The Backtrack is particularly suited for bands, duos, solo artists, theater or performance teams using playbacks, click tracks, ambiances, or interludes. It is also ideal for musicians alternating between two stereo sources (for example, a main player and a backup player) who want to maintain a clean transition.
Thanks to its headphone output and dedicated controls, it facilitates upstream monitoring: checking a cue, controlling a level, or preparing a launch without disturbing the main output. The result: smoother track management and better control of sensitive moments (song start/end, set changes, improvisations requiring quick muting).

Questions frequently asked
Can two stereo players be connected to the Radial Backtrack?
The two stereo inputs in mini-jack format and the two stereo jack inputs allow multiple sources to be connected. An input selector enables choosing the active source without changing the wiring.
How can a source be monitored on headphones without muting the front output?
The headphone routing has its own source selector. The headphone output level is adjustable independently. This allows pre-listening without affecting the main output.
What outputs are available for a PA mixer?
With 2 XLR outputs and 2 jack outputs, the stereo signal can be sent to a mixer or recorder. A link output and a headphone output complete the connectivity.
Does the Backtrack accept a high-level signal?
With a maximum input level of 25 dBu, this switch can handle stereo sources with a high output level.
What power supply is required for this stereo switch?
An external 15 V DC power supply is required. The unit measures 297 x 120 x 64 mm and weighs 1.5 kg.
