Is the Radial J48 Active Stereo DI suitable for a stereo keyboard?
Its two jack inputs allow connection of the left and right channels of a stereo keyboard. Two balanced XLR outputs then send the separated signals to the console, while the two jack Thru outputs can feed stage amplifiers.
Can two instruments be used at the same time?
The 2 independent channels allow simultaneous connection of two instruments. Each input has its own 6.35 mm jack Thru output.
How to sum a stereo signal to mono?
The Merge switch enables summing a stereo signal to mono when the stage setup requires it.
What power supply is needed for this active DI?
Power is supplied by phantom power from the console. The internal switching architecture uses this power to accept a maximum input level of +10 dBu.
What settings are available to reduce hum and resonances?
A ground lift switch helps to address ground loops causing hum. The phase reverse switch allows adjusting polarity between channels or with other sources. The high-pass filter is set at 80 Hz (-3 dB) and the pad attenuates the input level by 15 dB.
