Radial JPC: The Stage/Studio Interface for "Consumer" Sources
The JPC follows Radial's philosophy: offering a robust and reliable interface to bridge audio/video sources (players, camcorders, laptops, sound cards) with the professional sound reinforcement world. Its compact format and field-oriented design make it a simple tool to deploy, both live and in the studio.
Who Is It For and What Are Its Uses?
The Radial JPC is aimed at technicians, musicians, content creators, and stage managers who need to quickly integrate a stereo source into a console without struggling with interference. Each input can also serve as a thru output, allowing the signal to be split to maintain a local monitor feed while sending the front of house.
Isolation, Conversion, and Balancing: A Clean Signal Ready for the Console
Input Transformers: Goodbye Ground Loops
Transformers placed on the inputs provide effective isolation to reduce unwanted noise often encountered with computers and A/V equipment.
Active Circuit Powered by 48V Phantom
After the transformer stage, an active circuit powered by 48V phantom takes over to manage impedance conversion and balancing. The result: more stable integration over long cable runs and a clean sound output.

Questions frequently asked
Can the Radial JPC connect a laptop to a mixing console?
The two jack or RCA inputs allow connection of a stereo source, including a laptop or sound card. The two balanced XLR outputs are designed for sending to a console.
How does the JPC reduce hum and ground loops?
Transformers placed on the inputs provide isolation of audio/video sources. This design reduces unwanted noise often associated with computers and A/V equipment. The active circuit then performs impedance conversion and balancing.
Does the JPC require an external power supply?
Power is provided by the console's 48 V phantom power, with no external power supply required.
Can a local return be maintained with the JPC's RCA outputs?
Each input can serve as a thru output via the two RCA connectors. This allows splitting the signal between a local return and sending to the front of house.
What input level and attenuation setting are used for this stereo DI?
The maximum input level reaches +17 dBu. A -10 dB pad is built in to adjust the source level.
