The Red Panda Context 2 follows the lineage of 1980s rack reverbs, with that broad, defined, and modulated aesthetic that shaped the sound of many productions. Version 2 is not just a refresh: it modernizes the flagship algorithms (Room, Hall, Cathedral, Gated, Plate) and pushes them further with finer EQ control (separate bass/treble damping), modulation, dynamics, and infinite sustain functions.
The Grain mode adds a unique color: a granular reverb inspired by processors and techniques from the late 1970s, designed to range from ghostly halos to clouds of more textured sonic fragments, perfect for original soundscapes.

The main controls cover the essentials: Blend (dry/wet mix up to 100% wet), Pre (pre-delay), Decay (duration), Hi and Lo (high and low frequency damping), and Mod (amount and character of modulation). Modulation is a key feature: depending on the algorithm, it can range from subtle 80s-style chorus to deeper modulations, while maintaining pitch stability when desired.
The Shift button opens a second layer of performance and sound design settings: reverb/delay balance (Bal), delay time (Delay), feedback (Fdbk), modulation rate (Rate), and dynamic parameters (threshold and recovery time) to shape a reverb that ducks or expands on stronger notes. Holding the footswitches grants access to two infinite sustain behaviors: ideal for freezing a chord, creating a pad, then playing over it.
On the control side, the Context 2 adopts a modern setup: stereo inputs/outputs, USB MIDI compatibility, and extended preset management (1 preset on the left footswitch, 4 via external footswitch, up to 127 via MIDI). The expression pedal can be assigned to any combination of parameters: perfect for gradually opening the mix, lengthening decay, increasing modulation, or transforming a subtle Room into a wider texture in one movement.
