Designed for demanding DJs-turntablists, DVS performers, club residents, and mobile sound engineers-the RP-8000 MK2 excels in scratching, creative mixing, and live/DAW performance. Its armored construction isolates bass frequencies in club environments, while the recessed rear panel facilitates flight-case integration and touring.
Features and Innovations
The LCD screen displays BPM, key, remaining time, deck assignment, and firmware info for immediate visual feedback. The 8 RGB pads control 7 performance modes (Cue, Sampler, Saved Loops, Pitch Play, Loop, Loop Roll, Slicer) plus 2 user modes. The "Platter Play" turns the platter into an instrument, opening up unprecedented melodic possibilities. The front multi-encoder allows browsing and loading tracks directly from the turntable. Mechanically, the high-precision quartz motor, die-cast aluminum platter, and shock-absorbing feet ensure inertia, silence, and resistance to feedback.
