Historical Context and Positioning in the Range
The Ambassador Clear is among the most commonly used references for achieving a modern, precise, and bright sound. Its 10 mil thickness makes it a versatile option, appreciated both in the studio, rehearsals, and on stage.
Who This Drum/Instrument Is For
This head suits beginner to advanced drummers seeking clarity and attack. It works particularly well in rock, pop, funk, and fusion, anywhere defined and dynamic toms are desired.
Features and Innovations
Designed from a single-ply transparent film, it promotes quick shell vibration and a sensitive response. As a resonant head, it helps retain air and note length while maintaining clear articulation.
The Sound
The clear film emphasizes a sharp attack, pronounced brightness, and generous resonance. Depending on the shell, it enhances projection on hard woods (such as maple or birch) and maintains a lively character on warmer woods, allowing the tom to "breathe" more.
