Historical Context and Positioning in the Range
The Ambassador Clear is a staple reference in the world of clear drumheads. Within the Remo range, it is positioned as a standard single-ply, sought after for its balance between resonance, sensitivity, and clarity, both as a batter and resonant head.
Who This Drum/Instrument Is For
This drumhead is suitable for beginner to advanced drummers who want a lively and expressive sound. It is particularly well-suited to styles that require definition and openness (rock, pop, funk, fusion), and works very well on toms to maintain a full and natural sound.
Features and Innovations
Designed around a 10 mil Clear film, the Ambassador Clear promotes a quick response under the stick and good nuance articulation. Its single-ply format preserves the shell's character while offering a direct feel and clear articulation.
Sound Characteristics
In the transparent version, the single-ply film emphasizes brightness, attack, and projection, with generous sustain. As a batter head, it delivers punch and immediate response; as a tom resonant head, it helps achieve smooth tuning, long resonance, and an open sound.
