Historical Context and Positioning in the Range
The Clear Pinstripe belongs to the family of transparent double-ply drumheads designed to prioritize control and efficiency in rehearsal, studio, or live settings. It is often chosen as a "plug and play" solution when a more controlled sound than a single-ply head is desired.
Who This Drum/Instrument Is For
This drumhead is aimed at beginner to advanced drummers who want an immediately usable sound with fewer resonances to manage. It is particularly suitable for modern styles requiring a present low end and a clean sound, even at high volume.
Features and Innovations
Thanks to its 2-ply construction, the Clear Pinstripe offers a firmer feel under the stick and more consistent tuning stability. It helps reduce unwanted overtones while maintaining a clear attack and dynamics suited for accented strokes.
Sound Characteristics
The 7 mil double ply reinforces low frequencies and tightens the spectrum: the result is a deep, focused, and controlled sound with a more compact projection. The outcome is a shorter resonance, ideal for toms with a "punchy" character and a snare with a dense grain, without excessive sustain.

Hello Zycos.
Very good resistance over time, very well resistant to heavy strikes, good rendering in the bass. In short, well-made REMO.

Questions frequently asked
Is the Remo PS-0314-00 compatible with a 14-inch tom?
This drumhead has a diameter of 14 inches and belongs to the tom category. Its transparent Mylar design is made for this size.
What sound does a 14-inch transparent Pinstripe drumhead produce?
The double-ply 2 x 7 mil construction reinforces the low end and shortens the resonance. The result is focused, with a moderate attack and tightly controlled overtones.
Is this drumhead suitable for rock and pop?
Pop, Rock, and R&B styles are among the recommended uses. Its short sustain and fat low-end character respond well to strong hits.
What is the thickness of the Remo PS-0314-00 Pinstripe Transparent 14?
This drumhead is made of two 7 mil plies, totaling a 2 x 7 mil structure. This thickness provides a firmer feel under the stick and more consistent tuning stability.
