Historical Context and Positioning in the Range
The Powerstroke 3 family has established itself as a reference for drummers seeking a more controlled bass drum sound without excessive muffling. Combined with the Ambassador spirit (a direct feel, a clear response), this transparent 26-inch version stands as a versatile solution designed to balance attack, low end, and control.
Who This Drum Head Is For
This drum head is aimed at beginner to advanced drummers who want to quickly achieve a clean and easy-to-tune sound on a 26-inch bass drum. It is particularly suitable for styles where a present low end and clear stroke are desired: rock, blues, country, pop, and vintage setups.
Features and Innovations
The Powerstroke 3 concept is based on an internal damping ring that reduces unwanted overtones while preserving playing dynamics. The transparent reinforcement adds durability and stabilizes the most stressed area, helping to maintain consistent tuning and a steady feel.
Sound Characteristics
With a transparent finish, the drum head promotes a clear attack and a more "direct" feel under the beater. The integrated damping emphasizes a more focused low end with better-controlled sustain: the bass drum "speaks" quickly, making it easier to place in a band mix while retaining depth on a 26-inch diameter.

Questions frequently asked
Is the Remo P3-1326-C2 compatible with a 26-inch bass drum?
This drumhead is designed for a 26-inch bass drum. Its stated diameter of 26" should match the drum shell diameter.
What sound does a clear Powerstroke 3 produce on a bass drum?
The clear finish promotes a sharp attack and a direct feel under the beater. The internal damping ring focuses the low end and limits sustain.
Is the 26-inch Powerstroke 3 suitable for rock?
Its resonance control and prominent low end make it particularly suited for rock, blues, country, and pop.
Is this Remo drumhead single-ply?
The construction is single-ply, in line with the Ambassador family. A transparent reinforcement stabilizes the area struck by the beater. This setup helps maintain consistent playing and stable tuning.
What damping system is integrated into this bass drumhead?
An internal damping ring is built into the Powerstroke 3. It reduces unwanted resonances without the need for an external muffler.
