This v2 version benefits from a circuit revision focused on an “amp-like feel”: greater versatility when you lower the gain, and more clearly defined mids for a more natural place in a mix. The central 3-position “Aggression” switch (Off, Blue, Red) is at the heart of the pedal’s personality. It can be understood as a gain increase, but it mainly affects the voice and response: more or less compression, tighter or looser low end, and a different sense of “push.” Even in the Off position, the G4 v2 retains a solid crunch; in Blue, the distortion becomes tighter and more focused; in Red, you get the biggest and most saturated character.

For integration, the G4 v2 works extremely well in front of an amplifier set relatively clean (it then becomes your distorted channel).
