Converters Derived from the ADI-2 Pro
The HDSPe AIO Pro relies on the reference converters AK5572 (AD) and 2 x AK4490 (DA), stemming from the ADI-2 Pro's conversion approach. On the output side, RME goes further by adding additional reference levels: balanced (+24 / +19 / +13 / +4 dBu) and unbalanced (+19 / +13 / +4 / -2 dBu). The result: you can fine-tune your gain staging according to your devices (preamps, consoles, external processors, active monitors) without having to "jury-rig" attenuations downstream.
Dedicated Attenuator and Next-Generation Headphone Output
The output section includes a dedicated attenuator: at low reference levels, this contributes to an increased signal-to-noise ratio and lower output impedance, useful for maintaining a clean and controlled listening experience. Another highlight is the newly developed headphone output, both powerful and highly transparent, with switchable levels (high and low power).
