Summary of This Method
With "Petit Flûté Gourmand," Annick Sarrien-Perrier presents a twelfth edition full of inventiveness: a musical journey through France where each stop highlights a sweet specialty. Born from the collaboration with Julien Bourin (2015 finalist of the show Le Meilleur Pùtissier -M6-), this project naturally combines the world of the transverse flute with that of pastry, to stimulate imagination, storytelling taste, and the desire to share music differently.
The progression perfectly suits a flute class setting: "cheerful, folkloric, and poetic" duets, ensemble moments thanks to the second flute ad libitum, and piano accompaniments designed to support musicality. You will find notably: La frandole de Tarascon for LA TROPEZIENNE, Soupir de nonne for PETS DE NONNE, Biscuit corse for CAKE A LA CHATAIGNE ET AU CEDRAT CONFIT, Le merveilleux for LE MERVEILLEUX AU CHOCOLAT, La pralulines for BRIOCHE AUX PRALINES ROSES, Abricot-lavande for LA TARTE OCCITANE, Le far Breton, Danse des canelés for CANELES BORDELAIS, Mirabelle for MADELEINES A LA MIRABELLE, Vendéenne for LA BRIOCHE VENDEENNE, La tarte amandine, Tarte tatin, and Délice créole for LE TOURMENT D'AMOUR. The flute(s) and piano versions, as well as the piano solo version, are offered with piano performances by Jean-François Basteau, for precise work on rhythm, articulation, and phrasing.
