The RØDE Broadcaster is a large-diaphragm condenser microphone with a front-address design, specifically engineered for broadcast applications. Its sound characteristics with enhanced proximity effect deliver the rich, high-quality audio sought after by all radio stations. It is also well suited for dubbing or voice-over work for film and television. The Broadcaster features a built-in pop filter that minimizes plosive noise to prevent capsule overload, which can cause audio distortion. In addition to a frequency response of 20Hz~20kHz, the Broadcaster offers a high-pass filter (75Hz) that cuts low-frequency background noise such as air conditioning or traffic. Furthermore, the Broadcaster includes an "On-Air" indicator that can be controlled by the On/Mute button on many mixing consoles. When the microphone is not connected to a mixing console, the illuminated indicator shows that the microphone is powered.
