Historical Context and Positioning in the Range
Rohema Percussion is a German family business founded in 1888, known for its drumsticks and percussion instruments. This shaker fits into a "simple, well-finished, and musical instrument" approach, designed to complement a percussion set, drum kit, or rhythmic awakening activity.
Who This Shaker Is For
This shaker is suitable for both beginners and intermediate musicians looking for a reliable and expressive accessory. Its quick grip makes it ideal for pop, folk, acoustic, light funk, world music, and rhythmic initiation for children from 3 years old.
Features and Innovations
Its short format promotes precise and comfortable playing, with nuances easy to control depending on the amplitude of the movement. The bubinga/brass construction aims for a consistent response and good definition, whether playing softly (texture) or more accented (emphasis).
Sound
Bubinga, a dense wood, provides a solid feel and a rather warm sonic signature, with good presence in the low-midrange. The brass adds a brighter touch and a clearer attack, helping the shaker stand out without becoming harsh.
The medium tone offers a versatile grain, useful both for supporting a subtle groove and for doubling a hi-hat or snare pattern in the studio.
