Essential Information About the Sadowsky Verdine White Signature 4-String Bass Guitar

  • Verdine White Signature: a bass designed for groove, with a fast response and ideal presence in funk, soul, disco, and pop.

  • Sadowsky P/J Configuration: P-style neck pickup for punch, hum-cancelling J-style bridge pickup in "60s" position for definition without hum.

  • Premium Comfort: body in red alder, bolt-on maple neck, Morado (Pau Ferro) fingerboard, and a weight of approximately 3.8 kg to power through sets without fatigue.

  • Ultra-efficient Sadowsky Electronics: Volume, Balance, VTC (push/pull), and Bass/Treble EQ to switch from vintage tone to modern slap in seconds.

A Signature at the Crossroads of Vintage and MetroLine Performance

Part of the MetroLine range made in Germany, this Verdine White Signature carries the DNA of classic great basses while adding the precision and stage reliability unique to Sadowsky. The result: familiar ergonomics, meticulous craftsmanship, and electronics designed to capture the crisp, round, and articulate tone associated with iconic bass lines that shaped modern funk history.

A Bass for Stage, Studio, and Demanding Bassists

Intended for intermediate to professional bassists, it naturally excels in funk, soul, R&B, disco, and pop, while remaining very convincing in rock and fusion when attack and solid foundation are sought. Its long scale and overall balance make it a very stable bass, equally comfortable for fingerstyle and slap playing, with easy access to 21 frets.

Sound

The red alder body provides a rich and natural midrange, perfect for "holding" the mix without harshness, while the maple neck enhances attack and precision. The Morado (Pau Ferro) fingerboard balances everything with defined response and clean sustain, without excessive brightness. The neck P-Style pickup delivers immediate punch and roundness that form the foundation of a solid groove. Adding the hum-cancelling J-Style bridge pickup (in "60s" position) brings articulation and bite without unwanted noise, for clear ghost notes and very readable slap. The Bass/Treble EQ allows instant adjustment of the low-end foundation and brightness, and the VTC (push/pull) progressively softens the high frequencies, ideal for switching from a bright modern sound to a more vintage tone. The 34" / 864 mm scale length ensures firm note sustain, precise lows, and excellent definition.

Recommended Compatible Accessories

To maintain the original tension balance and response, a set of Sadowsky Blue Label 045-105 strings is a perfectly suited choice. The bass comes with a Sadowsky Portabag gig bag, providing effective transport protection for rehearsals and concerts.
