A Banshee Designed for 2020: The Spirit of the Series Adapted to Bass
For 2020, the Banshee series is offered as a 4-string electric bass with a strong focus on comfort and efficiency: a short scale format, a carbon-reinforced neck, and intentionally simple electronics. The result: a direct, stable bass ready to withstand rehearsals and stage use, while remaining comfortable to play for extended periods.
Who Is It For, and What Styles?
Thanks to its short scale, this Banshee is suitable both for beginners seeking an easy-to-master bass and for intermediate players looking for a lively and comfortable instrument. It naturally fits into rock, pop, punk, indie, and funk genres, with a tone that stays clean and clear in the mix.
Sound
The alder body provides a very versatile balance: present lows, substantial mids, and a sharp attack. The Schecter High Mass Bass bridge enhances note sustain and precision feel, especially appreciated on a short scale. The Schecter Diamond QPA pickups deliver a modern, punchy, and consistent sound, while the Volume and Tone controls allow quick transitions from a bright, defined attack to a rounder, vintage tone.
Recommended Compatible Accessories
To maintain the original string gauge and feel, choose Ernie Ball 4 String Short Scale 2852 (.045-.105). This bass naturally accepts a standard 6.35 mm jack cable for amplifier connection, as well as a classic strap for standing play (gig bag or case: optional).
