An Electric Guitar Designed to Cover More Ground Than a Classic Setup
With its mahogany body and flamed maple top, this guitar fits within the tradition of electric guitars with generous sustain, while adding a truly modern dimension thanks to its piezo system and stage-oriented electronics. The whole is designed to switch between registers without changing instruments, maintaining contemporary ergonomics (24 frets, optimized high fret access) and a premium aesthetic.
Who Is It For, and In Which Styles?
This 6-string electric guitar is particularly aimed at intermediate to advanced guitarists who want an instrument capable of handling rhythms, leads, and more nuanced parts. It is well suited for rock, hard rock, modern metal (sharp attack, high fret access), as well as pop and cover/tribute contexts where quick texture changes are required, notably thanks to the piezo mode and dedicated controls.
Sound
The combination of a mahogany body and flamed maple top provides a very musical balance: solid lows and dense low-mids, with a more precise attack and better definition in the high frequencies. The Schecter Diamond Plus magnetic pickups offer a solid electric foundation, while the Fishman Powerbridge (piezo) adds a second tone, brighter and more articulate, ideal for clear arpeggios and "unplugged" passages on stage. The electronics are designed for flexibility: magnetic volume and tone (with push-pull), piezo volume and tone, a 3-position output selector switch (magnetic / both / piezo), and a 3-position magnetic pickup selector switch.
Recommended Compatible Accessories
To stay close to the original gauge, you can choose Ernie Ball Regular Slinky 2221 strings in 10-46 for replacement. For transport, the SGR-1C gig bag/case is recommended as a compatible option for this model.

Questions frequently asked
How does the piezo system on the Schecter C-1 Ea Cat'S Eye work?
The Fishman Powerbridge bridge integrates a piezo, selectable via a 3-position switch: magnetic pickups, both sources, or piezo alone. Separate volume and tone controls are provided for the magnetic and piezo sections. This setup allows for a brighter, more articulate tone suitable for arpeggios or unplugged passages.
Is this guitar suitable for modern metal and hard rock?
The mahogany body with a flamed maple top provides consistent lows and a more defined attack. Schecter Diamond Plus pickups, 24 X-Jumbo frets, and a 648 mm scale length favor strong rhythm playing and access to high notes.
What is the neck profile and fretboard radius?
The neck features a Thin C profile, measuring 20 mm thick at the nut and 22 mm at the 12th fret. The rosewood fretboard has a 355 mm (14 inch) radius and accommodates 24 X-Jumbo frets.
What strings come factory-installed?
The factory setup uses Ernie Ball Regular Slinky 2221 strings with a 10-46 gauge.
Which case is compatible with this model?
The SGR-1C gig bag or hard case is listed as a compatible option. Schecter Locking tuners and the Graph Tech XL Black Tusq nut complete the hardware setup.
