An Hybrid Designed as the Missing Link in the Schecter Lineup
The Hellraiser Hybrid acts as a bridge between two strong references from the brand. It adopts the high-end aesthetic of the Hellraiser with their carved flamed maple tops, while integrating the "speed and comfort" approach of the Blackjack SLS thanks to an ultra-thin glued 3-piece maple neck. The result: an electric guitar with a bold metal look, designed to play fast, accurate, and loud, without sacrificing finish quality.
For Whom, and For Which Styles?
This Schecter is primarily aimed at intermediate to expert guitarists seeking a high-performance 6-string for demanding styles: modern metal, hard rock, djent, metalcore, prog... Its fast neck and high fret access facilitate solos, while the active electronics and EMG humbuckers ensure a sharp attack and excellent definition in both standard and lower tunings.
The Tone
The mahogany + flamed maple duo provides a rich and dense foundation: mahogany favors a present low-midrange and natural sustain, while the maple top adds precision and bite to the attack. Regarding pickups, the EMG 57/66 deliver powerful and structured distortion, with tight palm mutes and excellent clarity at high gain. The neck pickup remains singing and articulate for leads, and the 3-position selector allows quick switching from aggressive rhythms to rounder tones.
