An SLS Elite: the modern and refined version of the C-1
Following the C-1 lineage, the SLS Elite series pushes the concept toward a more "performance" guitar: premium aesthetics (flamed maple, pronounced gradients) and technical choices geared for stage and studio. The reinforced through-neck and Fishman gear place this C-1 SLS Elite in a decidedly contemporary approach, designed for precision, stability, and sonic versatility.
For whom, and for which styles?
This 6-string electric guitar is mainly aimed at intermediate to expert guitarists seeking quick playability and high note-to-note definition. Its natural playground: modern metal, prog, energetic rock, drop tunings, and tight rhythms, while maintaining more nuanced options thanks to the voicings and coil splitting.
Sound
The combination of a ash body and flamed maple top delivers attack, clarity, and a strong presence in the mix, while the through-neck construction promotes sustain and even response across the entire neck. The Fishman Fluence Modern pickups offer two personalities: a "modern active" voicing for precision, bite, and dynamics under high gain, and a more "passive" voicing for a more organic tone. Added to this are a HF filter to recover more bass, a 6 dB gain reduction, and the ability to split the pickups by selecting the coil used, expanding the palette (airier sounds, sharper attacks, finer rhythms).
Recommended Compatible Accessories
To stay as close as possible to the original setup, this guitar is strung with Ernie Ball Regular Slinky 2221 strings in gauge .010-.046. For transport, the SGR-1C gig bag is recommended as an option (sold separately) to protect the instrument during travel.

Questions frequently asked
Is the Schecter C-1 SLS Elite Black Fade Burst suitable for modern metal?
This model is suited for modern metal, prog, and energetic rock genres thanks to the Fishman Fluence Modern pickups. The ceramic-magnet bridge pickup favors precision under high gain, while the Alnico-magnet neck pickup offers a different tonal character.
What settings do the Fishman Fluence Modern pickups offer?
Both pickups provide a modern active voicing and a more passive voicing. A high-frequency filter allows for more bass presence, and a 6 dB gain reduction is available. Coil split selects the coil used for tighter attack.
Is the neck suitable for fast playing?
The ultra-thin neck-through measures 19 mm at the nut and 20 mm at the 12th fret. Its compound-radius fingerboard from 12" to 16" and 24 X-Jumbo stainless steel frets promote a playing feel focused on technical performance.
Can drop tunings be used on this guitar?
The 648 mm scale length, Hipshot Hardtail string-through bridge, and locking Schecter tuners contribute to the stability desired for drop tunings. The stock setup uses Ernie Ball Regular Slinky 2221 strings in .010-.046.
Which gig bag is compatible with this C-1 SLS Elite?
The SGR-1C gig bag is indicated as compatible and sold separately.
