A Deluxe that Opens Access to the Diamond Series Universe
The Deluxe series marks the arrival of Schecter's entry-level models carrying the Diamond Series name. The idea is clear: to offer the brand's typical "cool" aesthetics and ergonomics while maintaining a good level of comfort and a clean finish to discover the electric guitar under excellent conditions.
For Which Guitarist and Styles?
This Schecter is primarily aimed at beginners and intermediate players who want a guitar oriented towards modern playing, with reassuring handling and complete equipment. The long scale and 24 frets suit both precise rhythm playing and leads, particularly comfortable in rock, hard rock, and metal, while remaining versatile for styles requiring effective clean tones and tight distortions.
The Sound
The basswood body provides a generally balanced character, with present mids and a homogeneous response: an ideal base for a versatile guitar. The Schecter Diamond Plus pickups, combined with passive electronics and simple controls (1 volume, 1 tone), prioritize efficiency: you can quickly switch from a clear clean sound to denser distortions via the 3-position selector. The maple neck and 25.5-inch scale length enhance definition and attack, while the Floyd Rose promotes expressive playing (note: careful setup is recommended to make the most of tuning stability).
Recommended Compatible Accessories
To stay with the original gauge, you can choose Ernie Ball Regular Slinky 2221 strings in 10-46. For transport, a SGR-1C gig bag is recommended as a dedicated option (sold separately), practical for protecting the instrument during travel.
