A Schecter Anniversary Model at the Top of the Nick Johnston Signature Range
This "10th Anniversary" version celebrates ten years of collaboration between Schecter and Nick Johnston with a more exclusive take on the signature series. It features the Nick Johnston DNA (ergonomics, fast playability, modern Strat spirit), enhanced by bold "Atomic" finishes, including this striking "Atomic Violet" shade that stands out both on stage and in the studio.
For Which Musician and Styles?
Intended for intermediate to advanced guitarists, this solid-body shines when alternating tight rhythms and singing leads. The 25.5" / 648 mm scale length offers familiar tension and good accuracy, while the 355 mm / 14" radius and jumbo stainless steel frets facilitate bends, legato, vibrato, and low action. Modern rock, fusion, prog, pop, indie, and blues: the HSS electronics cover a wide range without losing definition.
Sound
The alder body provides a very musical balance: present mids, clear lows, and open highs, ideal for cutting through a mix. The wenge neck / ebony fingerboard combination enhances attack and clarity, with solid sustain and quick response under the fingers. The two Subatomic single-coils deliver precise cleans and punchy crunches, perfect for the intermediate positions. At the bridge, the Subatomic humbucker pushes an articulated and denser drive; via the push-pull coil-split, it adds clearer and finer tones to vary the range without changing guitars. The Schecter Nouveau tremolo completes the setup with expressive vibrato, supported by the Graph Tech nut for smoother feel and better tuning stability.
Recommended Compatible Accessories
For transport and protection, the Schecter SGR-UNIVERSAL GUITAR gig bag (sold separately) is recommended by the manufacturer. For strings, common electric gauges 9-42 or 10-46 with standard ball ends suit the 25.5" / 648 mm scale length.
