A Guitar Designed for Modern Performance
The Red Dawn embodies the spirit of "high performance" guitars: aggressive aesthetics, optimized access to the upper frets, and a configuration focused on precision. Its concept is clear: to offer a fast feel under the fingers, impeccable tuning stability, and electronics tailored for contemporary sounds, from modern metal to technical rock.
For Which Guitarists and Styles?
This 6-string electric guitar is primarily aimed at intermediate to advanced guitarists who want a reliable instrument for fast playing, percussive palm-mutes, and very tight rhythms. It excels in metal, djent, hardcore, modern rock, and precise lead playing, while remaining comfortable for more nuanced tones thanks to the multiple pickup positions and voicing option via the push-pull.
The Sound
The basswood body provides a balanced response, with present mids and clean lows, perfect for clear distortion. The 3-piece maple neck enhances stability and definition, while the ebony fingerboard adds attack and a very direct feel, ideal for fast runs and precise bends.
On the electronics side, the pair of Fishman Fluence Modern pickups (Ceramic at the bridge position and Alnico at the neck position) delivers a sharp and dynamic sound with excellent note separation. The 5-position selector multiplies combinations, and the Master Volume push-pull allows access to an additional voicing option to switch from an aggressive register to more open textures without changing amps.
Recommended Compatible Accessories
To maintain the original feel and tension, choose a set of Ernie Ball Regular Slinky 2221 strings in .010-.046. A selection of picks (0.88 mm to 1.14 mm) is also recommended to best exploit attack and precision in rhythm playing.

Questions frequently asked
Is the Schecter Sunset-6 Evertune Red Dawn suitable for modern metal?
This 6-string guitar combines a basswood body with Fishman Fluence Modern Ceramic pickups at the bridge and Alnico pickups at the neck. Its setup is geared towards metal, djent, hardcore, and rhythm parts with pronounced palm-muting.
Does the Evertune bridge keep the guitar in tune?
The Evertune bridge is designed to ensure stable tuning retention. It supports fast playing and tight rhythms without the need for a tremolo system.
What is the neck profile and scale length?
The 3-piece maple neck has an ultra-thin C profile measuring 19 mm at the nut and 20 mm at the 12th fret. The 648 mm (25.5 inches) scale length, ebony fingerboard with a 406 mm radius, and 24 X-Jumbo stainless steel frets promote a direct playing approach. The nut width with Graph Tech XL Black Tusq is 42 mm.
What tonal options do the Fishman Fluence pickups offer?
A 5-way selector allows combining the two Fishman Fluence Modern Open-Core red coil pickups. The master volume push-pull gives access to the Fluence Voice 2 option, enabling tone alteration without changing the amplifier.
What case and strings are recommended for this guitar?
No gig bag or case is included; the 1620 SGR-1C C-Shape hardcase is sold separately. A set of Ernie Ball Regular Slinky 2221 strings in .010-.046 gauge is recommended to maintain the specified tension.
