A New "Essential" Approach Inspired by the MKE 2 Sound

The MKE Essential Omni is part of a series designed to offer the essentials of a professional lavalier microphone, featuring a high-quality compact omnidirectional capsule. Its acoustic signature, close to the MKE 2, naturally places it within a family recognized for voice capture, while providing a discreet, lightweight, and easy-to-deploy solution. Another important advantage: this series remains compatible with many MKE 2 accessories, a real plus for standardizing a microphone inventory or complementing existing equipment.

Who and What For: Theater, Speech, Places of Worship, and Recordings

This lavalier microphone is particularly suited for environments where voice intelligibility is a priority: theater, conferences, speeches, places of worship, stage performances, and speech-oriented applications. Thanks to its omnidirectional directivity, it captures the voice naturally while remaining tolerant to head movements and placement variations, which facilitates work for both speakers and technicians.

Design and Performance: Discreet, Reliable, Efficient

Omnidirectional Capsule: A More Natural Voice, Less "Picky" About Placement

The omnidirectional capsule is a relevant choice for lavalier microphones: it helps maintain a consistent tonal quality even when the microphone is not perfectly aligned with the mouth. The result: more consistent speech capture, particularly appreciated on stage, during ceremonies, or dynamic interventions.

Level Handling: Comfortable with Voices, Even in Demanding Conditions

With a maximum sound pressure level of 140 dB, the MKE Essential Omni can handle high levels. Its frequency range of 20 Hz - 20,000 Hz broadly covers the useful spectrum, and its noise data (A-weighted and CCIR) allow evaluation of its behavior in quiet or amplified environments.

Simple Integration: 1.6 m Cable and Included Accessories

The 1.6 m cable offers a practical length for routing under clothing and connecting to a belt transmitter. The MZQ 02 clip ensures stable attachment, while the SL MZW foam windscreen helps reduce air turbulence and some light noise related to movement.
