A revisited APH-2 heritage for more impact

Developed in collaboration with Seymour Duncan, the Slash 2.0 builds on the foundation of the historic signature APH-2 pickup, with a clear goal: to maintain the same tone and clarity while gaining dynamic response and a "punch" feel under the fingers. The result: a humbucker set designed to capture the Slash character, but with a more energetic winding, capable of better driving the amp input and bringing out playing nuances.

For which guitarists and styles?

This set is aimed at rock and hard rock guitarists who want an expressive sound, singing solos, and solid rhythms without going into excessive saturation. On a crunch channel or an already pushed amp, it delivers a very effective balance between attack, sustain, and compression while maintaining clear chord definition. Ideal on guitars equipped with two humbuckers, to cover a range from warm clean tones to big, articulated drive.

Design, wiring, and playing response

Thanks to the Alnico 2 magnets, the Slash 2.0 favors an organic response: smooth highs, rich mids, and a fluid playing feel, perfect for bends and vibrato. The braided cable and single conductor wiring follow a traditional approach for simple and direct wiring focused on tone and efficiency. The neck pickup features a resistance designed for clarity and roundness, while the bridge pickup adds extra bite and presence for riffs and leads.
