A Shure stage-oriented solution: the BLX spirit, the SM58 signature
This system follows a simple and effective logic: offering a dual wireless configuration that is easy to deploy while retaining a vocal capsule that has become a live standard. The combination of a BLX88E dual receiver and two BLX2 handheld transmitters equipped with cardioid dynamic SM58 capsules aims for reliability and consistent sound quality from one performance to another, with immediate usability for both technical teams and users.
Who and what for: singing, hosting, speeches, and events
This pack is particularly suited for singers, hosts, masters of ceremonies, associations, local authorities, mobile DJs, and event professionals who need two handheld microphones simultaneously. It works very well for duos, on-stage interviews, room hosting, guided karaoke, conferences, and presentations, with the advantage of cardioid directivity that helps reduce ambient sound pickup and improve vocal intelligibility.

Questions frequently asked
Does the Shure BLX H8E system allow the use of two microphones simultaneously?
The dual receiver BLX88E manages two channels simultaneously and receives the two handheld BLX2 transmitters provided. This setup allows for two SM58 microphones for a duo, an interview, or an event.
What is the wireless system's range?
The indicated range is 80 m. This applies to analog transmission in the H8E band from 518 to 542 MHz.
Are the microphones suitable for live vocal performance?
Each transmitter includes a dynamic cardioid capsule of the SM58 type, with a frequency response from 50 Hz to 15 kHz. The cardioid pattern helps reduce ambient sound pickup. The two capsules are not interchangeable.
How to set the frequencies on the BLX88E?
A frequency scanner is built into the system to identify an available frequency. The QuickScan synchronization then facilitates pairing the transmitters with the receiver. Up to 6 systems can be used simultaneously depending on available frequency conditions.
What is the battery life and power supply for the microphones?
Each BLX2 transmitter operates with 2 alkaline AA batteries, with a maximum battery life of 14 hours. The receiver is mains powered and two WA371 microphone clips are included.
