A "BLX + SM58" combination tailored for stage efficiency
This system pairs a dual BLX88E receiver with two handheld BLX2 microphones featuring SM58 capsules. Over time, the SM58 has established itself as a vocal standard, appreciated for its reliable sound and ability to withstand real stage conditions. The BLX series aims for simple and straightforward setup: the essentials without unnecessary complexity, allowing focus on performance and hosting.
Who is it for and what are the uses?
The Shure BLX88E/SM58 dual version is ideal if you alternate between singing and speaking, or if you need two ready-to-use handheld microphones for a duo, co-hosting, an interview, karaoke, a conference, or a ceremony. The cardioid pattern helps better isolate the voice and reduce ambient sound pickup, a valuable asset both on stage and in rooms.
With the possibility to use up to 6 systems simultaneously (depending on the environment), it also fits into lightweight setups where multiple RF channels coexist, while maintaining simple operational logic.
