The Shure MX405LP/C is a miniature gooseneck microphone intended for installations where the speaker is close to the microphone: meeting tables, podiums, conference stages, videoconference spaces, or boardrooms. Its short length facilitates clean integration without obstructing visibility or cluttering the workspace, while maintaining precise voice pickup. With its cardioid directivity, it helps contain ambient noise and improve intelligibility, a key point for room sound reinforcement as well as recording and streaming.

The MX405LP/C's cardioid electret capsule is speech-oriented: it favors the source placed in front of the microphone and reduces side pickup. Microflex compatibility: a modular approach

The MX405LP/C is designed to integrate into an existing or developing Microflex environment. It can be used with MX400SMP (with low-cut switch) and MX400DP preamps, as well as with the MX890 wireless table base and the MXW wireless discussion system. This modularity allows evolving an installation (wired, wireless, conference management) without changing the entire chain. Note: the microphone is delivered without preamp, allowing freedom to choose the base suited to the project.
