A Solution Designed for Fixed Installation, in the Spirit of the High-End Microflex Series
Designed for speaking environments where visual discretion and sound quality are priorities, this miniature gooseneck microphone fits within the "installation" approach of the high-end Microflex series. The goal is clear: to offer a clean and professional integration while allowing freedom to configure the final setup according to room needs, notably through a capsule-less version.
Intended Uses and Users
This model primarily targets meeting rooms, conference rooms, advisory spaces, public institutions, and companies equipping fixed tables. Its compact size facilitates very aesthetic integration on a podium or work surface without "cluttering" the videoconference camera view. It is also suitable for integrators and sound engineers who want a reliable base (preamplifier + mechanics + LED signaling) and prefer to select the capsule separately according to the acoustic context and voice type.

Questions frequently asked
Does the Shure Installation MX405R-N come with a capsule?
This version is supplied without a capsule and therefore requires a separate selection of a compatible electret capsule. This design allows the directionality to be adapted to the acoustic constraints of the installation.
What type of connector does this gooseneck microphone use?
The connection is made via a 5-pin XLR connector. A 2.65 m cable is provided for connection.
What is the length of the gooseneck?
The gooseneck measures 12 cm, a size intended for discreet integration on fixed tables or podiums.
Is the preamplifier included?
The MX400SMP preamplifier is supplied. It includes a low-cut filter switch to reduce table vibrations and excess bass. Speech reproduction can thus gain intelligibility in a conference room.
Can the microphone's LED be controlled remotely?
The LED ring located at the capsule can be controlled by an external logic circuit. It can be integrated with a mute control or a room automation system.
