This model is supplied without a capsule, allowing selection of the desired polar pattern for the installation. A cardioid R185B or a supercardioid capsule will help focus speech pickup.

The gooseneck measures 45 cm, providing suitable positioning range for a lectern or conference table.
What type of connectivity does this installation microphone have?
The base includes a preamplifier with a direct XLR output. The gain is adjustable from 12 dB to 0 dB to adapt the level to a console or interface input. The electronics are shielded against interference from cellular phones.

An on/off switch is integrated into the preamplifier. An LED located on its body indicates the microphone status.
How can this Shure gooseneck mic be mounted on a table or stand?
A rigid mounting flange is provided for surface installation. A shock mount flange A400SM is available to reduce vibration transmission. Mounting on a stand is also possible using the A57F clamp, sold separately.
