A "Fundamentals" Approach in the Series L: The Most Traditional Version

This new set-neck model is presented as the most classic and essentials-focused option in the Series L. The idea is clear: to recapture the experience of a timeless "L-body" electric guitar format, with construction and ergonomics that immediately resonate with players familiar with the standards. Positioned at the heart of the mid-price range, it aims for the best compromise between materials, finishes, and equipment, without scattering into superfluous options.
The choice of a mahogany set neck and a mahogany body / maple top pair roots this guitar in a luthiery tradition recognized for its musicality and dynamic response. The expected result: a coherent tonal foundation, easy to amplify and shape, equally relevant for rhythm playing and lead.

Who Is This Set-Neck L-Body For?

This guitar primarily targets advanced beginner to intermediate guitarists who want to move up to a more serious instrument with a more "premium" feel than an entry-level model, while maintaining immediate playability. It will also suit experienced musicians looking for a reliable L-body for rehearsals, stage, and home studio, with a full control configuration (2 volumes / 2 tones) to fine-tune the balance between pickup positions.
In terms of styles, the "set neck + Tune-O-Matic" DNA is naturally comfortable in genres where body, sustain, and note density are expected: rock, blues, pop, hard rock, but also more modern contexts thanks to the coil split to lighten the spectrum and gain clarity. The mahogany C-shaped neck promotes versatile playing: open chords, barre chords, pentatonic runs, and faster phrasing remain comfortable over time.

A Structured Sound: Mahogany, Maple, and Electronics Designed for Versatility

Luthiery forms the foundation of the tonal personality. A mahogany body tends to provide a warm response, present low-mids, and a pleasant sense of "density," particularly noticeable in saturated or crunch tones. The hard maple top complements this character by adding attack, precision, and better note clarity, useful for articulated riffs and complex chords.
The set-neck construction contributes to a sense of continuity between the fretting hand and the body, with generally generous sustain and a note that naturally "holds." The combination of Tune-O-Matic bridge and aluminum stop tailpiece enhances intonation stability and vibrational transfer: this provides a firm foundation, ideal for lowering the action without losing definition, and for precise setup (intonation, height, string balance).
The electronics section offers real customization leverage. The 3-position selector allows quick navigation between registers (neck position, combined, bridge), while the presence of 2 volumes and 2 tones facilitates fine balancing: slightly lowering a volume to clean up a sound, or attenuating a tone to round off a rhythm part without touching the amp. The tones include a push-pull coil split: an excellent way to expand the palette by switching from a thicker, more powerful output to a more open, brighter, and "snappier" sound, practical for arpeggios, pop rhythms, or lighter funk parts.

Recommended Compatible Accessories

To fully exploit this guitar's character, a set of electric guitar strings (gauge chosen according to your touch) and regular maintenance (soft cloth after playing) are enough to preserve tuning stability and smooth playability. Picks and a strap remain essentials to adapt attack and playing comfort on a daily basis.
