Within the range, it positions itself as a modern and complete 4-string, combining a highly responsive wood base (swamp ash and maple) and active electronics designed to finely adjust your place in the band, both in rehearsal and on stage.

This bass is aimed at intermediate to advanced bassists who want a reliable, precise, and expressive 4-string capable of switching from well-articulated fingerstyle playing to sharper slap. Its natural playground covers funk, pop, rock, fusion, and all groove music where dynamics and attack clarity make the difference. The blender and tone section also facilitate more "old school" approaches by adjusting the blend between neck and bridge pickups.

The sound

The swamp ash provides a lively response and beautiful clarity, with firm lows and present highs: ideal for clean, defined, and percussive lines. The combination of maple neck and maple fingerboard enhances attack and "snap," with clear sustain and a very direct feel under the fingers. The Marcus Super-J Revolution pickup set delivers the typical grain of a dual single-coil Jazz-style configuration: well-separated notes, readable mids, and precise attacks. The Marcus Heritage-3 preamp with Middle/Freq control goes beyond simple equalization: scoop for a more airy slap, boost low-mids to thicken rock tones, or refocus the spectrum to better cut through a busy mix.
