Historical context and positioning within the range

The "Planetary Tuned" tunings are inspired by modern alternative tuning approaches, where each chime corresponds to a reference frequency associated with symbolism (planets, cycles) and wellness use. This set is positioned as a coherent ensemble, designed to offer a palette of complementary pitches within the same kit.

Who this drum/instrument is for

This set is aimed at beginners as well as experienced musicians seeking an intuitive and immediately musical instrument. It is particularly suited for ambient environments, film music, sound design, ceremonies, yoga, as well as percussionists wishing to enrich an acoustic setup with precise harmonic colors.

Features and innovations

Each chime is identified by a frequency and a note, with a specific A4 tuning reference for each tuning. This approach facilitates the choice of chime according to the musical intention (tonal center, tension, relaxation) and allows combining resonances to create rich textures without requiring advanced technique.

The sound

A set of chimes offers a natural brightness, a clear attack, and a sustain that highlights beats and harmonics when multiple notes resonate together. The "Planetary Tuned" tuning favors a sensation of stability and immersion: perfect for light strikes, delicate punctuations, or overlapping sound layers.
