What Is This Phase Correction Plug-in Used For?
This plug-in is designed to optimize phase coherence in recordings made with multiple microphones. It is primarily intended for sound engineers, producers and home studio users working with acoustic drums, guitar amplifiers captured with multiple microphones, percussion ensembles, pianos or any source recorded from different positions.
When the same signal reaches multiple microphones with slight timing offsets, the mix can lose impact. The low end becomes unclear, attacks seem less defined and certain elements partially disappear due to frequency cancellations. This software analyzes the signals involved to realign their time and spectral content, restoring a more solid, natural and better-defined sound.
