What is POWAIR used for?
POWAIR is a compression plug-in designed to control dynamics without crushing the character of a recording. Its two-stage architecture combines intelligent perceived-volume control with fast, precise compression. It is equally suited to smoothing out a voice-over, processing vocals, a solo instrument, a stereo bus or a complete mix.
The first stage acts as a K-weighted loudness leveler. It smoothly follows level variations to bring a signal closer to a defined loudness target. This approach is particularly useful when content needs to maintain a consistent listening experience, especially in audiovisual productions, podcasts, spoken-word content and sequences of music tracks.
The second stage delivers more creative and intensive compression. POWAIR can therefore add density, presence and cohesion to a source while preserving musical dynamics. Its adaptive behavior helps retain the original tone, even when the processing becomes more pronounced.
