A Compact Reference Unveiled at NAMM Show 2016
After more than 2 years of development, the Strymon Ojai was announced at the NAMM Show 2016 with a clear goal: to offer a high-end power supply in a tiny enclosure, without compromising on power or current cleanliness. The result: a solution designed for modern pedalboards, where the density of effects and current demands increase, while maintaining simple and neat integration.
Intended Use and Target Audience
The Strymon Ojai is aimed at guitarists and bassists who want a reliable power supply for a silent effects chain, with sufficient current reserve for digital pedals, compact multi-effects, or power-hungry delays/reverbs. It is also suitable for stage and studio musicians seeking consistent dynamics and power stability to avoid interference and unpredictable behavior caused by insufficient or poorly filtered power supplies.
Power, Isolation, and Modularity: The Strymon Approach
Isolated Outputs and "Clean" Current
The Ojai provides regulated, stable, and perfectly filtered current through 5 opto-isolated 9V outputs. Each output can deliver 500mA, allowing it to power "virtually any pedal." A good power supply is not just about reducing noise: it also helps preserve the feel, response, and dynamics of your pedalboard over time.
Chaining and Scalability
Need more outputs? The 24V Thru jack allows connecting multiple units together. This modularity makes the Ojai particularly relevant if your pedalboard evolves, without having to change the entire power infrastructure.
Ready for the Stage, Anywhere in the World
Compatible with 110-240V, it is easy to use on tour or while traveling. Its anodized aluminum enclosure is designed to be mounted under or on most pedalboards while remaining ultra-compact.

Questions frequently asked
How many pedals can the Strymon Ojai power?
The power supply has 5 opto-isolated 9 V outputs. Each output delivers up to 500 mA, a capacity suitable for power-hungry digital pedals.
Are the 9 V outputs isolated?
Each output features optical isolation and provides regulated, stable, and filtered current. This design minimizes power-related noise in an effects chain.
Can outputs be added to the power supply?
The 24 V Thru jack allows linking multiple units together. It is thus possible to increase the number of outputs when expanding a pedalboard. This connection is dedicated to daisy-chaining power supplies.
What are the dimensions of the Ojai?
The enclosure measures 81 x 58 x 33 mm and weighs 133 g. Its anodized aluminum construction allows mounting on or under most pedalboards.
Does the power supply work abroad?
The mains input is compatible with voltages from 110 to 240 V, enabling use during travel or touring.
