Syos Steady 6 Blue (Alto Sax)

Syos Originals Steady: a modern mouthpiece born from acoustic research

The Syos Originals collection brings together saxophone mouthpieces designed to make playing feel more natural, comfortable and inspiring. Each model is the result of extensive acoustic research, with the aim of offering an immediate response and a clearly defined tonal character. The Steady model stands out for its versatility, favoring a carefully balanced blend of warmth, density and tonal clarity.

Syos is aimed at saxophonists looking for a mouthpiece with a contemporary character, capable of following the musician’s nuances without making sound production more difficult. Its Phantom Blue aesthetic adds a distinctive key to the instrument, while remaining focused on a design dedicated to comfort and expressiveness.

A versatile mouthpiece for progressing, rehearsing and performing on stage

The Syos Originals Steady is suitable for beginner saxophonists who are already comfortable with the basics, as well as intermediate and advanced players looking for an easy-to-control mouthpiece. Its 6 tip opening offers an appealing compromise between playing comfort, attack precision and expressive possibilities.

Its great versatility makes it suitable for a wide range of styles: jazz ballads, funk, rock, pop and amplified music. It is equally at home during daily practice, group rehearsals and live performances. Its even response helps musicians achieve greater consistency across the entire range.

A full, flexible and balanced sound

The Steady lives up to its name, promoting a stable response and a consistent sound from one register to the next. Its large chamber helps develop a broad, rich and warm tone, while the circular baffle contributes to smooth airflow and flexible dynamics. The result remains sufficiently bright to cut through an ensemble without becoming harsh.

The 6 tip opening offers a balanced playing feel. It allows the sound to be shaped precisely, supports dynamic playing and makes it possible to move from gentle articulation to a more pronounced attack depending on the needs of the piece. This configuration will appeal to musicians looking for an expressive mouthpiece that retains its roundness in ballads while gaining energy for funk or rock.
